A finely moulded oval vase, on a double groove platform base above four peg feet. The ends of the purple malachite vase feature swans with bowed heads, spread wings, and open area legs. The front and back are decorated in relief with rushes, water lilies, bank vegetation and a spreading tree. Circa 1880, pattern number 1828, relief marked to the base with the Sowerby Peacock.
