An excellent, tall, tapered wine jug, with a hinged brass top, fountain finial, and elegantly styled four sided handle. Cut from ruby to clear, the six sided body is finely hand enamelled with raised and gilded scrollwork and grid designs, the grids alternately filled with crosses and bead dots. The jug features six oblong ruby panels highlighted with gilt; the neck is embellished with a cut and gilded ruby band. Circa 1900, possibly by Moser Karlsbad.
