A Chippendale Revival solid mahogany side chair
Fine quality solid mahogany Victorian side chair in the Chippendale style, with the engraving Sybil May7th 1888 on the foliate carved and pierced fret back. The overstuff seat supported by cabriole legs with acanthus detailing to the knees terminating on unusual "hoof" feet.
A beautiful chair of excellent quality, having been traditionally waxed and upholstered in a beautiful duck egg and gold damask finished with brass studs.
