Art Deco Silver Brooch Hand Painted on Glass and Butterfly Wings

An Art Deco brooch dating from the 1930's depicting the Pyramids and the Nile with figures in the foreground. The brooch is hand-painted on glass and transparent places are filled in with pieces of coloured butterfly wings. The brooch has a solid silver back with chased edging and has a C clasp, is marked silver and has the patent no. on the reverse which was registered in 1922. A good and rare piece of art deco jewellery.
Condition: Excellent.
Dimensions: 1 inch high by 1.5 inches wide.
