An early Victorian pocket watch in a silver case with gold hinges. It has a polished smooth finish with some scratches on the rear, near the top. The inside of the rear cover has the Chester hallmark for 1839. The watch is key wound & set through the rear dust cover which is also hallmarked & has the number 4733. The glass is very good. The cream coloured dial is signed GEORGE EVANS LIVERPOOL & has a large seconds dial, typical of this period. There are 3 very faint hairlines. The high quality jewelled fusee lever movement has a diamond endstone & is signed George Evans Liverpool No 4733. It is running well & keeping good time.
