Early gold Rolex wristwatch

A very early Rolex wristwatch. This is a mid-sized version measuring 1” (25mm) diameter, slightly smaller than the standard mens size, but an identical style (ladies watches of this era tended not to have a seconds dial or hand). The case is excellent, with just a couple of pinhead sized dings on the rear, there are no inscriptions. The front & rear cover & the inner rear cover are all hinged & close firmly & evenly. Inside the rear cover is marked ROLEX, the London 9ct gold import mark for 1919, W&D 1087514 SWISS. The lever movement is marked ROLEX 15 JEWELS SWISS MADE. It is running well & keeping good time. Comes fitted with a new Hirsch leather strap.
Condition: Excellent.
