A Late 19th century Anglo Indian Campaign bone Staunton pattern Chess Set. One side natural bone, the other stained red. King 3 inches (7.5 cm.) Comes in the original lift-up top mahogany storage box. To the inside of the lid, the maker's name Negasys and their logo, a British navel ensign flag with the word "Ensign" and "British made". Negasys was a late 19th century/early 20th century Anglo Indian firm who specialised in, amongst other items, natural history specimens. Possibly made and supplied for the British Indian troops. Box 6 x 3.5 x 5 inches (15 x 9 x 12.8 cm.)
Condition: Excellent.
Dimensions: King 3 inches (7.5 cm.)
