This is a nice example of a decorative art pottery by William Fishley Holland.
The jug has a pinched in spout and a strap handle. The glaze is a mottled grey – purple on the outside and turquoise blue on the inside. There is a painted and incised motif consisting of a pair of fish, which is repeated on either side of the jug. The base is discoid and incised in the centre with the initials ‘WFH’.
It is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks.
Condition: Excellent.
Dimensions: The jug has a height of approximately 19.3cm, with a diameter at the rim of about 10.0cm.
