Scheibe-Alsbach Factory Figural Group

A lovely German porcelain figural group made by the Kister family at the Scheibe-Alsbach factory in Thuringia. The factory gained quite a reputation during the latter part of the nineteenth and the early twentieth century for a variety of porcelain products including figures and dolls. This piece, although in the style of the 18th Century, is marked with a pattern number from the middle of the 20th Century. It is, however, beautifully modelled and painted with a quality and expertise similar to that famous German manufactories two centuries earlier. Shipping costs reflect the careful, sturdy, packing which this item will receive.
Condition: Excellent. I have examined this piece very closely knowing that such pieces are very vulnerable to damage. I can find no cracks, chips, rubbing of the decoration or signs of restoration.
