The crews of the 1937 Oxford & Cambridge Boat Race |

This is a rare opportunity to acquire the signatures of each team in the 1937 Boat Race. Please view the images. The signatures are neat and orderly, on crested university notepaper. They are in very good condition indeed, each attached to a larger piece of paper to assist with display or framing. There are plenty of books in which the team names can be found - and the race and rowers researched - for example, The Boat Race by Gordon Ross(London, 1956, The Sportsmans Book Club). In 1937, Oxford won by three lengths in 22 minutes and 33 seconds. On page 108 Gordon Ross writes, 'Not since 1921 had there been such a great race as this one in 1937, rowed on a Wednesday, because no satisfactorySaturday before Easter could be found with a suitable tide.' This win for Oxford broke a sequence of 13 consecutive wins for Cambridge ,...!!!
