ZOO ZAG is a delightful toy/puzzle but more than that it is the work of an iconic designer in collaboration with Abbot Toys. Set in "The Zoo" it bears all the style elements of its era, which could be earlier than 1950 quoted. The colours suggest the 50s but the style of the characters could be earlier. All the animals are on slot-in pieces in their appropriate quarters and the appropriate place is marked on the board but not on the pieces. The visitors and staff are shown undertaking various activities and the animals enjoy their surroundings. This is a collector's item both from the design aspect and era. Not easy to find it could be described as a work of art.
