An antique Austro-Hungarian Renaissance Revival gold wash silver bracelet. The design is exquisite, a jewelled bracelet with stone set flower links adjoined by ornate rectangular links.
The 1" oblong links are bezel set with green chrysoprase cabochons, pink faceted garnets at either side and four pearls. The parallel bracelet links are ornate flowers centred with a pink garnet stone and tiny pearls at each side. A high quality piece, the silver work is second to none and crafted in silver vermeil or gilded silver with an intricate lacy work back. The ornate box clasp closure is in perfect working order, tight and secure. Marked with a Lion Head on closure and letter P Assay city letter for Budapest, Number 4 for 750 Silver, between
1867-1922. Various marks on clasp: Oval with star above crescent moon and letters MC plus a Middle age helmet marking. The Maker's Mark is KG or KE. Hallmark of an insect in rectangle, possibly an import mark in France. In excellent antique condition with all stones intact and fully working clasp. Measuring: Length 7 1/2" (19 cm) Width just under 1" x 2.3cm). A unique bracelet and a treasured possession from the Victorian era.
