An Old Paris porcelain cup, with a finely painted bird in bright enamel colours on a tree in a landscape. The term Old Paris Porcelain refers in fact to over thirty factories based within the city between the mid 1700's until about 1870, although the term was not actually used until the latter part of this period. There are no marks which could be said to be synonymous with Old Paris porcelain. In fact, the vast majority of wares of this period are unmarked, as is the case with the present piece.
Condition: Very Good
Dimensions: 5.7cm high x 7.5cm diameter, excluding the handle.
