An art nouveau style pendant based on an example of the work of Spanich artist Luis Masriera who's name is synonomous with the best of Art Nouveau jewellery of the period. This pendant depicts Arachne in silver gilt in a pique-a-jour trasparent enamel setting, holding a faux pearl and framed within a circle of sparkly cut rhinestones. A very pretty and well-made pendant which we believe to date to the Art Nouveau revival period of the 1970's. The pendant has a large diamante studded loop attachment for a chain - no chain. The pendant is marked 925, all the stones are present and is in very good condition.
