A mid Victorian silver pocket watch signed E.S. COMBERBACH MARKET PLACE BLACKBURN. The dial is excellent with no chips or cracks. The silver case has the Chester hallmark for 1861, in very good condition, the rear cover has been polished almost smooth & has some tiny dings. It has a hinged front & rear cover, both close firmly & evenly, The movement has the original brass dustcover.
The jewelled movement has a gold balance wheel, the balance cock is marked PATENT & is engraved with a stag. There is a stop lever at VII to stop & start the balance. Running well & keeping good time.
