A striking, twin handle table centrepiece, on a straight sided column and wide, stepped base. The centrepiece has a glass insert, the rim of which is embellished with four graduated designs, each cut with six saw tooth shellwork patterns and small lenses. The interior of the bowl is silver plated, the exterior is brass. Below the rim is a fine copper band with relief bell flowers, the handles and base are enhanced with white metal shields decorated with stylised grape and leaf motifs. All four sides of the column have pierced laurel leaf and berry sprigs. Circa 1905-1910, "WMF" stamp mark to the base.
