An impressive and attractive silver plated table centrepiece in the Art Nouveau manner, mounted on four classical columns on a stepped pedestal base. The centrepiece has a glass insert with a wavy rim, the upper section of which is cut in eight segments with six clusters of ovals. The upper metal section has four X-pierced stripes between relief festoons of roses and flattened pilasters. The classical columns are embellished with grape clusters hung from laurel wreaths. The base is enhanced with grooved banding. Circa 1905, made by Argentor, Vienna, Austria, small stamp mark to the base.
